Night markets are actually not new in Nigeria. Yes, the culture of trading at night is not new to Nigerians. Night markets are mostly seen around streets in most cities of the country. These street markets which operate at night have now become an important part of Nigeria's socio-economic life, even though, these markets are typically operated as open-air markets, often without special rules guiding its operation.
