Egypt: Finance Minister - Upcoming Period to Focus On Political, Economic Development

The upcoming period will focus on political and economic development in order to achieve the Egyptians' demands ranging from rights, justice, security to a better economic future, affirmed Finance Minister Ahmed Galal.

Speaking before a session on the Arab world, as part of the proceedings of the World Economic Forum (WEF), currently in session here, Galal said that this phase depends on establishing a modern state and democratic institutions.

The Minister underlined the need of achieving social justice, as a base for the economic policy which relies on attaining rapid economic growth.

Minister Galal held a number of meetings with Arab and foreign officials and leaders of world economic institutions on the sidelines of WEF's 2014 meeting in Davos.

Galal also made interviews with world media outlets to explain the Egyptian economic developments and available opportunities in view of the current political developments.
