Egypt: Libya Denounces Kidnapping Egyptian Diplomat in Capital

The Libyan Foreign Ministry has denounced the kidnapping of an Egyptian diplomat in the capital Tripoli on Friday 24/1/2014 by unidentified gunmen.

Spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry Said Lassoued said that Hamdy Ghanem was kidnapped by an unidentified group.

He said that the motives behind the kidnapping are not yet known, adding that the Libyan authorities are intensifying investigation to know the place of the Egyptian diplomat and free him.
