Nigeria: Gaidam Seeks Speedy Progress On Damaturu Water Project

Damaturu — Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State says he is running out of patience with persistent excuses being advanced for contractors' inability to complete the Damaturu regional water supply scheme, saying he is no longer ready to accommodate more excuses.

The governor who revealed his feeling during an inspection visit to the service area site of the project yesterday charged contractors handling it to ensure speedy progress of work on the project and complete it before the end of the year.
