Nigeria: Police Read Riot Act to Political Parties

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 1, Mr. Tambari Muhammad Yabo, has urged politicians in the zone to play politics in line with the laid down rules and regulations, when the 2015 elections finally kick off.

According to him, all political meetings and rallies in the zone will be subject to the approval of the respective police commissioners in the three states that made up the zone, pointing out that, "any such breach by any of the political parties will attract the wrath of the law."
