Last week, News of Rwanda revealed exclusively how the exiled former Rwandan Prime Minister Faustin Twagiramungu was on a secret trip to Tanzania to meet President Jakaya Kikwete as he looks for ways to launched armed rebellion. The politician himself has confirmed the reports.
Twagiramungu told delegates at a closed-door conference held in Lyon, France, on Saturday that he had indeed been to Tanzania from 19-23 January. According to our sources, Twagiramungu left Dodoma on Thursday where he had been meeting President Kikwete at secret locations.
