Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on Monday met with General Electronic's CEO Jeff Immelt.
On the occasion, the CEO expressed the company's desire to invest in Ethiopia.
GE has set target to engage in manufacturing medical equipment, supplying materials for wind farms and railway.
The company is also interested to work in collaboration with higher learning institutions in knowledge transfer.
The Premier for his part expressed his government's readiness to provide the necessary support to the company, according to a high level official who attended the meeting.
