Juba — South Sudan government on Tuesday slapped treason charges against seven of its 13 senior politicians implicated in last year's alleged coup attempt in the country's capital, Juba.
The politicians, mainly ex-cabinet ministers, were arrested in connection with the violence that erupted in Juba on December 15, but three others, including former vice-president Riek Machar, are still at large.
