Liberia: Ecobank Delivers Vehicle to Raffle Draw Winner

The Giant Prize Giveaway winner of Ecobank Deposit Mobilization Campaign (DMC) raffle draw has taken delivery of her vehicle.

Madam Cecelia Harris Jolo arrived in Monrovia from Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County over the weekend to take delivery of her four-door Chevrolet vehicle valued at US$15,000.00.

Madam Jolo is an airstrip supervisor and business woman. She also sells cement and petroleum products in Zwedru city, the provincial capital of Grand Gedeh County.

The South Eastern based business woman was informed on Thursday, January 23, 2014 via mobile phone after her account number was luckily chosen by a customer through a raffle draw at Ecobank Sinkor Branch.

Speaking to reporters, the lucky winner of the Ecobank raffle said she was overjoyed to have been selected lucky winner of Ecobank Deposit Mobilization Campaign.

"I am very happy that I was selected winner of the raffle draw. I am glad to the extent that I don't even know how to express my joy," she said.

She was accompanied to Monrovia by her family members including her brothers and sisters.

"I am going to take this car to Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County to ride it around the city center. This car will also take me to job." The DMC grand prize winner, who is also a student of the Grand Gedeh Community College, said she will drive her car to school so that other students can be encouraged to deposit and save their monies with Ecobank Liberia.

The grand prize winner told the public about the importance of saving their money with Ecobank.

She observed that Ecobank has added a new flavor to the banking industry in Liberia by awarding customers for saving money I their personal accounts.

The DMC required customers to regularly maintain a minimum deposit of US$100 in their savings accounts in order to qualify them for the draw.

Her account number was picked from among 31,000 other account numbers who were qualified for the grand draw. The raffle draw was supervised by officials of the Liberia National Lotteries, the legal body responsible for all raffle draws in Liberia.

But Madam Jolo said she was not aware of the promotion. "I didn't know about this promotion," she noted as she beamed with smiles.

Mr. Kola Adeleke, Ecobank boss on Monday, January 27, 2014 handed the keys over to the raffle draw winner.

"I felt so good when Ecobank Managing Director handed the keys over to me and asked me to sit in the car," Jolo noted.

Jolo is a mother of four; two girls and two boys. She, among other things, thanked the Management for the promotion and for helping to change her life.
