Kenya: NYS Starts Sh890 Million Repairs On Eldoret Roads

The National Youth Service has begun repairing roads in Uasin Gishu county, roads executive Gideon Birir has said. He said the work will cost Sh890 million.

Birir says NYS has deployed machinery to start the repairs in parts of the county. He said the initial phase of the construction work will cost more than Sh350 million. "We went for the NYS because it will be cheaper and more effective because its a government department," Birir said. He was speaking to the Star at his office in Eldoret town yesterday.
