Sierra Leone: 'Salary Increase Will Curb Police Corruption' - Police Media Boss

Head of Police Media and spokesman has told Concord Times in an exclusive interview that the new salary increase by the government "will go a long way in curbing corruption within the police", but urged the government to do more by ensuring their salary is competitive with other police forces in the sub-region.

Comparatively, according to Assistant Superintendent Ibrahim Samura, the Sierra Leone Police are still not better paid, considering what their counterparts in the sub-region are receiving as take-home-pay.
