Egypt: Trade Minister Visits France to Boost Bilateral Relations

Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour and a host of Egyptian businessmen and members of Egyptian-French business council will visit France on February 2-3.

It is the first visit by an Egyptian official delegation to France after the new constitution was approved.

The visit aims to convey the truth about what is happening in Egypt to the French government and people as well as restoring French businessmen confidence in the Egyptian economy and market.

During his visit to Paris, Abdel-Nour will meet several French officials and businessmen including French Foreign Trade Minister Nicole Bricq, Industry Minister Arnaud Montebourg to discuss means of boosting bilateral relations and promoting trade and industry projects between the two countries.

The Egyptian-French talks will also tackle the activities of the French companies operating in Egypt as well as means to lure the French companies to increase their investments in Egypt especially in the industrial sector.'

France is one of Egypt' most important trade partners. The trade volume between the two sides hit € 2.9bn in 2012.
