Angola: Agro-Industry Project Explores 3,000 Hectares of Citrus Fruit in Cuanza Sul

At least three thousands hectares of arable land will be explored for production of citrus fruit, in the locality of Zambia (Amboím), on the Framework of socio-industry programa (Prosai), in Cuanza Sul.

According to the document of Prosai that reached Angop on Friday the three thousand hectares will be distribute to small family farmers, in an area of 210 hectares, medium producers (300), construction of infrastructure (90), while the programme comprises 2400.

According to the document, the production of citrus will facilitate the implementation of a juice factory.

The agro- industry programme foresees the installation of 20 plants occupying an area of cultivation of 195.500 hectares in domain of socio-economic development, fight against poverty , improving the socio-economic conditions, as well as the increase of people income , with the creation of housing, health units and schools.
