Kenya: Three Rescued After Car Plunges Into Indian Ocean
By Martin Mwita, 1 February 2014
THREE people narrowly escaped death yesterday after their car plunged into the Indian Ocean. They were rescued by the Kenya Ferry Services after the 10am incident at the Likoni Ferry mainland terminal.
The driver, Abdalla Mohammed, said the car's engine went off as he was boarding the MV Likoni ferry prompting its brakes and steering wheel to fail. The KFS customer relations officer, Francis Mugomati, asked drivers to be careful at the ferry terminal.
