Tunisia: Caretaker PM Chairs Meeting of Security Situation Follow-Up

Tunis — A meeting devoted to the examination of the security situation in the country and the follow-up of the efforts made to ensure the citizens' security and fight against terrorism and smuggling, was held on Monday in Kasbah, under the chairmanship of caretaker Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa.

The meeting was attended by National Defence Minister Ghazi Jeribi, Interior Minister Lotfi Ben Jeddou, Delegate Minister in charge of Security Ridha Sfar, as well as several executives of the Army and the National Security, a statement of the Prime Ministry reads.

A tribute was paid to the Army and Security units for their efforts to protect the borders and fight against terrorism and organised crimes, the same source added.
