THE Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) lost N$2,1 million in a bank scam in December last year - and did not make it public.
The Namibian learned yesterday that on 11 December last year, Namport's finance department allegedly received a notice from fraudsters purporting to be one of its South African clients, Fairbrothers Geotechnical Engineering, indicating that they (Fairbrothers) had changed their banking details.
