Tunisia: End of Security Operation in Raoued, All Members of Terrorist Group Eliminated

Tunis — "The security operation conducted on Monday in Raoued, Ariana, ended successfully after the elimination of all members of the terrorist group," Spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior Mohamed Ali Laroui said on Tuesday.

Seven terrorists were killed, he said in a statement to TAP.

A national guard officer, martyr Atef Jabri, was also killed and two others were wounded, one from the special brigade of the National Guard and the other from the anti-terrorist squad, he indicated.

Laroui also said special units are checking explosives found with the killed terrorist elements.

On the presence of Kamel Gadhgadhi among the group, he said the identification of terrorists is ongoing.

A press conference is scheduled Tuesday afternoon at 6:30 p.m. to shed light on the developments of the operation which, he stressed, ended successfully.
