Tunisia: Jomaa and Bouchamaoui Look At Economic and Social Situation in the Country

Tunis — Interim Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa and President of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) Wided Bouchamaoui discussed on Wednesday the economic and social situation in the country, reads a Prime Ministry statement.

The meeting turned on the problems faced by Tunisian enterprises in different sectors and on means to boost investment in regions and the need to convey a positive message to Tunisian and foreign investors.

The meeting reviewed as well the "urgent" issues that will be looked at as part of the higher joint committee which, it has been agreed, will hold regular meetings.

The statement also says that during its next visits abroad, the PM should be accompanied by businessmen to boost economic diplomacy.
