Kenya: NCPB Buys 1 Million Bags of Maize

The National Cereals and Produce Board has bought 1 million bags of maize from farmers. The board has paid out close to Sh3 billion to farmers for maize delivered at buying centres mostly in the Rift Valley region.
Many farmers are still queing to sell their maize at depots in Eldoret, Kitale, Moi's Bridge and other areas. The CEO of the board Cornel Ngelechei says they are targeting 1.3 million bags.
