Farmers in Murang'a county have been urged to plant drought resistant crops to ensure food security in the region. Agriculture executive Albert Mwaniki said due to climate change in the area farmers hardly harvest anything due to lack of rains.
He said though Murang'a region is classified as a high potential area, for the past two season rains have failed and residents who rely on it for their crops are facing starvation.
