Egypt: Finance Ministry - Average of Tax Revenues Represents 15 Percent of National Income

Finance Minister Ahmad Galal said Thursday 06/02/2014 that his ministry strategy aimed at delivering the government subsidy exclusively to those who deserve it.

Galal added that the finance ministry targeted the needy in particular.

the Minister went on saying the average of tax revenues represented 15 percent of the national income, which was considered the lowest in the world.

The minister noted that there was a tendency for imposing taxes on income and progressive taxes after economic recovery.
