South Sudan: SPLA Condemns Killing of Civilians in Jonglei's Kolnyang

Bor — The South Sudanese army (SPLA) has condemned the killing of civilians in Jonglei state's Kolnyang payam (district), calling it a "complete breach" of human rights law.

Speaking at a mass burial in Kolnyang on Friday, Lt General Malual Ayom Door, who led SPLA forces battling rebels in Jonglei, said he was shocked when he saw the bodies of civilians killed in Wednesday's attack, saying the offensive appeared coordinated and well-organised.
