Angola: Governor Assures 400 Classrooms for This Year

Around four hundred new classrooms will be built this year by the Government of Bie province to expand the capacity to absorb more students in regular education system.

In an interview to ANGOP, under the beginning of the school year, the governor of Bie, Álvaro Manuel Boavida Neto, emphasized that the new classrooms will be built in the municipal seats and rural communities.

The construction of new classrooms falls under the public investment program and also aims to provide better learning for children in localities where educational institutions were destroyed by the rains.

Without disclosing the amount to be employed in construction, the governor stressed that the concern's of Bie government is related to the lack of classrooms in the province, especially in the most remote communities of municipal and communal offices.
