Egypt: New Strategy to Handle Fertilizers Shortage

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ayman Farid Abu Hadid said on Friday 07/02/2014 that the government will announce a new strategy to solve the problem of agriculture fertilizers shortage in Egypt soon.

The Minister added in statements that the plan aims to secure strategic stocks of fertilizers in line with firm measures to monitor consumption.

Abu Hadid said that imports of fertilizers will continue to meet the market demand.

According to the minister, a new committee will be formed to control the distribution of the products nationwide.
