Angola: Cabinda Governor Guarantees Rehabilitation of Water System of Massabi

The works of rehabilitating the desalination and water treatment systems in Massabi Commune, in Cacongo Municipality of the northern Cabinda Province, on a standstill for the past six years, will be resumed as soon as the provincial government gets the approval from the Ministry of Energy and Water, governor Matilde da Lomba has informed.

The governor, who was speaking during an assessment visit to Massabi, assured that the provincial government and the Ministry of energy and Water will do everything so that the rehabilitation works can resume.

She admitted that the stoppage of the works worries the government of Cabinda, since it is a fundamental projects which aims to improve the life of the Massabi commune dwellers.

Recently, she said, a power generator of high capacity was installed in Massabi to serve the locality, however, this is not enough, because there is much to be done to improve electricity supply in Massabi.
