THE special committee established by the Senate to probe the impeachment of Embu Governor Martin Wambora starts its formal sessions today.
The commitee indicated it will proceed with the matter in spite of a court order barring the Senate from instituting impeachment proceedings against Wambora and his deputy Dorothy Nditi. The decision to proceed was arrived at during a retreat of the committee.
