Kenya: FBI Examining the Body of Westgate Attacker

Alshabab claimed the responsibility of West gate mall attack

Kenyan military chief major general Julius Karangi said the United States Federal bureau of investigation FBI still is investigating a body of Somali citizen suspected to be behind the Nairobi Westgate shopping mall on September last year.

General Karangi has confirmed that the body is investigated by the FBI but declined to comment on the location where the US intelligence is performing the study during a press conference in Nairobi hotel.

There was conflicting reports on the number of attackers who carried out the attack the Westgate mall but the government of Kenya insists all attackers died in the mall.

At least 165 people were killed and more than 200 people injured in a three day siege at the Nairobi Westgate mall attacked claimed by Alshabab militia group in September last year.
