Somalia's Information Minister - the Government Has Not Ordered the Closure of Any Telecommunication Company

Mogadishu — A press media release from Somalia's ministry of information has clearly stated that the Government has no intentions to close any telecommunication company after false rumors spread nationwide.

"Based on government policy on the implementation of free trade, the Ministry of Information specifies that there is no order from the Federal Government of Somalia to close or intimidated telecommunications services to end their grip on society. The government committed to assist business people to the implementation of free enterprise, "said the statement.

The statement also indicated that all telecommunication companies to continue with their services to the people.
