AFC Leopards took a huge step towards reaching the next stage of the CAF Continental Cup after they eased to a 2-0 win over Ethiopia side Defence in a first leg first round clash at the Nyayo National Stadium yesterday.
Winger Paul Were was the destroyer in chief as he supplied the two crosses that were covered by first captain Martin Imbalambal who stooped to head the opening goal in the 19th minute and then to new signing Jacob Keli who prodded home the second a minute before halftime to give James Nandwa's side a morale boosting win.
