Ghana: Kwabena Duffour, Others Honoured

AFRICA MEDIA Consult, in collaboration with Genius Creative Media, has honoured Dr. Kwabena Duffour and three others for their meritorious services for enriching the lives of Ghanaians. Former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly boss, Mr. Samuel Sarpong, the District Chief Executive of Agona (Sekyere South), Hon. Edward Ayarkwah and the CEO of first class hospital, Konongo, Dr. Steve Ogbordgo were honored for their commendable work in society. The former Minister of finance, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, was honoured for his selfless contribution to Ghanaians.

The event organisers indicated that Dr. Duffour worked in the late Professor Mills' administration without collecting a dime. His entrepreneurship prowess has led him to establish a number of companies which employ a number of the teeming youth, thus curbing unemployment in Ghana. The Kumawu native is seen as a role model whose effort earned the Ghanaian economy the fastest growing one during the tenure of the late Professor Mills, and sparked the torch of alleviating poverty in Ghana. Mr. Felix Nyarko-Pong, Chief Executive officer of UNI BANK received the award on behalf of Dr. Duffour. Dr. Ogbordgo was awarded for his selfless services to the people of Konongo by sponsoring of poor and needy children to attain higher education.
