Kenya: ICC Uhuru Trial - Why Flog a Dead Horse?

I have followed the ICC Kenya cases with keen interest. On October 2, 2011 in the Sunday Nation I predicted the collapse of the case against President Uhuru, then Deputy Prime Minister ("Ocampo's Lack of Punch in Face-off with Uhuru Exposed the Weak Spot").

In my view, Uhuru's appearance as witness at his pre-trial hearing on a confirmation was both a risky and delicate risk. It however turned out to be a blessing in disguise, an event which appeared to be Ocampo's worst nightmare as a lawyer.
