Angola: Basketball Players Honours Martyrs of Cuito Resistance

Cuito — The basketball players competing in the 26th edition of the national senior females championship paid homage on Monday to martyrs of the Cuito resistance, buried at the monument cemetery of Kunje commune in the central Bié province.

The players of the six teams participating in the championship, namely, Interclube, 1º de Agosto, Maculusso, Misto da Huíla, Benguela and Sporting do Bié paid homage to those one that sacrificed their lives in the armed conflict after the 1992 elections.
