Nigeria: House to Probe Detention of 400 Northerners, Sale of Non-Core Assets of Nitel/Mtel

The House of Representatives Tuesday resolved to probe the arrest and detention of 400 northerners living in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital, by the officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

This is just as it also commenced the investigation of the sale of non-core assets of the Nigeria Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) and Mobile Communications Limited (MTEL).
