Maputo — The Mozambican government on Wednesday accused the former rebel movement Renamo of breaking its promise to cease armed attacks against civilian targets and military positions.
Speaking at a Maputo press conference, the national director of defence policy in the Defence Ministry, Col Cristovao Chume, lamented the continued attacks by Renamo gunmen, which have not halted despite the consensus reached over the electoral legislation between Government and Renamo delegations in the dialogue under way in Maputo.
