Namibia: Alleged Fugitive Rustler Cop Hands Himself Over

AFTER more than a month of being on the run, former Criminal Investigation Commander for the Karibib police, Warrant Officer Desmond Kamoruao, handed himself over to the police yesterday morning in the presence of his lawyer, Milton Engelbrecht of Isaacks and Beinz Incorporated.

Chief Inspector Erastus Iikuyu of the Erongo Criminal Investigation Unit confirmed that Kamoruao handed himself over at the Karibib police station. A warrant for his arrest had been issued on 8 January for his alleged links to a stock-theft syndicate operating in the Karibib District.
