Kenya: Garissa Takes Steps to Make Mosques Safer

AUTHORITIES in Garissa have taken measures to prevent youths from being converted into Muslim radicals in mosques. Garissa town has 20 mosques.

Commissioner Rashid Khator said security surveillance has been stepped up in the mosques. He said this will stop criminals from using mosques to preach hate. Khator was addressing the press at the sidelines of a peace building and conflict management forum in Garissa town on Tuesday.
