Kenya: Kajiado Gets Patrol Cars

13 February 2014

KAJIADO police on Tuesday received four Toyota land cruisers from the office of the President for patrol. Receiving the vehicles, police boss Tito Kilonzi said the cars will be taken to Mbirrikani patrol base, Loitokitok, Isinya and Kajiado police stations.

He said more vehicles should be taken to crime prone areas of Ilasit and Kimana. Recently, gunmen killed a woman and injured one man during a raid on a supermarket in the area. Kilonzi said the cars will facilitate his officers' quick movement every time a crime is reported. He said the vehicles are well suited for the area because of bad terrains especially during rainy seasons.
