Nigeria: 'Country's Unity Must Be Sacrosanct At National Conference'

Jos — Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae said yesterday that Nigeria has come to stay as a country and the proposed national conference should do nothing to break the country up.

Speaking as host governor at the opening ceremony of a consultative conference organised in Jos by the Middle Belt Forum to deliberate on the proposed national conference, Governor Jang said the national conference must make the unity of Nigeria sacrosanct and discuss only such issues that would strengthen the country's unity.
