Egypt: Sisi - Our Visit Gives New Start to Developing Military, Military-Technical Cooperation With Russia

Defense Minister Field Marshal Abdel-Fatah el-Sisi stressed that his visit to Moscow will pave the way for major military cooperation between Egypt and Russia.

"Our visit gives a new start to developing military and military-technical cooperation between Egypt and Russia that has been always based on mutual interests," Sisi said as quoted by Itar Tass news agency.

"Today the world is going through hard times. In particular, the Middle East is in the zone of turbulence. In Egypt we face different challenges and terrorism is the most serious one. We exert maximum effort to control the situation," he said.

He stressed importance of talks between the Egyptian defense and foreign ministers and their Russian counterparts.
