Malawi: Responsible Councilor to Fix Fisp Distribution and Usage Problems - UDF Shadow Councilor

Blantyre — Blantyre North Constituency Chikhwembele ward United Democratic Front (UDF) shadow councilor, George Kalombola has called on Malawians to vote for responsible councilors in their areas as one way of solving the distribution and usage problems affecting the success of the Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP).

Kalombola told the Malawi News Agency (Mana) that Malawians continue to suffer from acute hunger despite Government subsidizing the farm inputs which include seeds and fertilizer because there is no close supervision in the distribution of the valuables which leads to unfair distribution as well as corruption leading to the initiative not benefiting the targeted group.
