Angola: State Secretary for Agriculture Visits Camaiangala Project in Moxico

The State secretary for Agriculture, José Amaro Tati, Friday, visited the agro - industrial project of Camaiangala in the municipality of Camanongue, eastern Moxico province.

The Cabinet minister who was accompanied by the deputy Governor for Economic sphere, Francisco Cambango sector, received detailed explanations from the assistant of the project, Russo Lhi, on its progress, which have been cultivated 50 hectares of corn and two hectares of soybean, experimentally.

The project covers 16,000 hectares for the cultivation of beans, sweet and sour potatoes, peanuts, watermelon, rice and vegetables in irrigation and dry land system. The launch of the first corn seeds happened in November 2013.

The project also includes the construction of 40 social houses for technicians, a rural market and warehouses for storage of goods, an aviary, feed mill, as well as the creation of small animals.
