Angola: Ambassador to Netherland Mourns Death of Uanhenga Xitu

The ambassador of Angola to the Netherlands, Luís de Almeida, lamented the death of the Angolan nationalist Agostinho André Mendes De Carvalho , occurred Thursday in Luanda by disease .

A press release issued by the diplomatic representation, which reached ANGOP , the diplomat stated that "it was with great consternation and grief that I learned of the death of Comrade Agostinho André Mendes de Carvalho, our Uanhenga Xitu".

Our country, reads the note, has just lost one of its most glorious sons, nationalist of the first hour and great supporter of the cause of our people, cause that made him spend huge vicissitudes for us to be free and independent today.

He adds that "in this time of deep sorrow and sadness, I want on behalf of the collective of employees of diplomatic missions and my family and on my own, present the most sincere extended to the family of the deceased Uanhenga Xitu condolences."
