The National Assembly's Education Committee has threatened stern action against the Ministry of Education should it sign tender documents to allow Indian firm Olive Technologies to supply laptops for schools.
The committee said the project should be suspended as it smells of another major scam. Olive was announced the winner of the project at Sh24 billion, beating HP and Hier in a process that parliament has since concluded was irregular. Both HP and Hier have appealed the decision with the Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA).
