Egypt: Manpower Minister - Urgent Plan for Operating Plants

Manpower Minister Kamal Abu Eita asserted that the government agreed, during the cabinet meeting, on formulating an urgent plan for operating plants and pumping investments with a view to refreshing the labor market, lessening the unemployment rates and reducing need to hire foreign labors.

In addition, the government agreed on taking procedures and mechanisms required for the application of the minimum and maximum wage rate within few days' time.

This came in the closing ceremony of the Occupational Safety and Health conference in Sharm el-Sheikh with the attendance of South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda.
