Ghana: Adwoa Adowaa Calls for Investigations

OBAAPANIN ADWOA Adowaa, the head of the Asaman Kani Ekuona Royal family of Kumasi has told the Judgment Debt Commission that the family is not privy to the payment of GH¢11,000,000.00 by the government in respect of 2nd Brigade lands in Kumasi.

In April last year, Sole Commissioner Justice Yaw Apau announced that the government paid GH¢11,000,000.00 as compensation to one Nana Kwaku Duah Appianin III, (Kokosohene), Nana Akyiaa Tiwaa (Asaaman Kani Hemaa) and Abusuapanin Kwasi Kontoh (Kofinini Abusuapanin) in a case against the Ministry of Defence and Attorney General's Department in 2009.
