There is a need for mobile operators and start-ups in the country to deepen their relationships to build a more robust industry and strong ecosystem as well as more venture capitalists and angel investors to fund the new enterprises. This is according to the just-released GSMA report focused on Kenya's digital landscape.
The GSMA report titled 'Digital Entrepreneurship in Kenya 2014' states that half of all start-ups face the challenge of high cost operator resources as only 11 per cent of have partnerships with the mobile network operators.
