Ghana: Alteration of Boundaries Requires Constitutional Amendment-Minister

Mr Akwasi Opong-Fosu, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, has disclosed that any immediate alteration of the boundary between the Ga South Municipal Assembly and the Awutu Senya East Assembly would require a constitutional amendment.

The minister disclosed this in response to a question on the floor of Parliament filed by the MP for Bortianor -Ngleshie Amanfro, Mr Bright Edward Kodzo Demoridzi, on plans the ministry is taking to resolve the boundary dispute between the two assemblies.
