Ghana: Senior Citizen Calls for Probe Into Sale of State Land in T'di

Takoradi — A SENIOR Citizen and a former Assembly Member for Takoradi Amanfu, Mr. Francis Kobina Eghan has called for a full scale investigation to establish how Tanokrom-Kokompe, which was being occupied by artisans was sold to a foreign investor by the Metropolitan Assembly.

Mr. Eghan, who is popularly known as 'Abatan', was speaking on Skyy Power FM, a Takoradi based radio station last week Saturday. According to him, the laws governing the assembly have made it explicitly clear that before a government land is disposed of, the assembly must first debate the issue and come to a consensus.
