Sudan: No Free Drinking Water Anymore for Displaced in Kass, South Darfur

Kass — The population of Kass camp for the displaced in South Darfur have difficulties in obtaining potable water for financial reasons.

One of the camp sheikhs in Kass reported Radio Dabanga that the two organisations working in the field of water in the camp, Tear Fund and World Vision, notified the camp sheikhs and omdas last week that the provision of fuel had to be stopped for financial reasons. They suggested collecting among the camp residents the amount required for the purchase of fuel and the wages of the labourers operating the water stations.
