Nigeria: Govt Moves to Checkmate Influx of Chinese Herbal Products

Following the increasing imports of Chinese herbal products into Nigeria, the federal government said efforts are in top gear to checkmate further influx of such products into the country.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the Director General, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Prof. Karniyus Gamaniel maintained that government could no longer turn a blind eye to the import of Chinese products, a situation, he explained, has deprived the growth of Nigerian herbal markets.
